The members of the Hagiography Circle  are aware that there were  members of the contemporary Church who, although they led edifying lives, have not been (and might never be) proposed for formal beatification and canonization. Several factors can be attributed to the absence of an petitioner: political problems in the country where the person lived/died, lack of economic means to promote a cause, indifference on the part of the presumed primary promoter of the cause, or simply the inopportuneness of initiating the process at the present time.

Nonetheless, we take it upon ourselves to preserve and foster the memory of these women and men by retelling their lives.
